Sunset Beach Timeline -- September 1997

	September 1, 1997
Ben & Meg	Meg tells Mark about Ben calling her by Maria's name in the cave.
Caitlin/Cole/Olivia/Gregory	When Cole hears the news about Olivia's pregnancy, he realizes that he might be the father. Gregory, who doesn't realize that Olivia really is pregnant, encourages Bette to write about Olivia's pregnancy in her column.
	September 2, 1997
	Olivia bribes Tiffany into writing Sean a "Dear John" letter telling him that she's in love with Mark and leaving Sunset Beach for good. Olivia also keeps Tiffany's dog, Spike.
Ben/Meg/Tim/Annie	Ben makes plans to visit a hypnotherapist in order to regain his memory of the events in the cave.
	September 3, 1997
Caitlin/Cole/Olivia/Gregory	Olivia becomes angry at Bette for including her pregnancy in her gossip column.
Ben/Meg/Tim/Annie	Annie finds out that Ben has an appointment with a hypnotherapist to try to bring out the memories of what happened in the cave and works on a plan to break Ben and Meg up for good.
	September 4, 1997
Ben/Meg/Tim/Annie	Posing as a reporter and a photographer, Annie and Tim arrange for Annie to be alone in the room with Ben while he's under hypnosis. Annie gives Ben a posthypnotic suggestion.
	September 5, 1997
Ben/Meg/Tim/Annie	When Dr. McCrae conducts her session with Ben, she discovers that his memories are too repressed to bring out easily.
Caitlin/Cole/Olivia/Gregory	Bette and Olivia meet at the Seabreeze Motel, where Eddie has bribed one of the desk clerks to release the name of the woman that Cole met at the motel to him, and attempt to change the records on the computer.
	September 8, 1997
Ben/Meg/Tim/Annie	Annie's posthypnotic suggestion comes to fruition when Ben calls Meg by Maria's name.
Caitlin/Cole/Olivia/Gregory	Sean encourages Caitlin, who has the envelope of photographs that Gregory gave to Cole, to open the envelope and look at the photographs of Cole and his other love interests.
	September 9, 1997
Caitlin/Cole/Olivia/Gregory	Bette and Olivia find out that they were successful at modifying the records at the Seabreeze Motel when Eddie, convinced that Bette is Cole's former lover, gives that information to Gregory.
Ben & Meg	Meg decides to go back to Kansas.
	September 12, 1997
Ben & Meg	Ben remembers that it was Meg, and not Maria, that he made love with in the cave.
	September 16, 1997
Ben & Meg	Meg and Tim leave for Kansas.
	September 17, 1997
Vanessa/Michael/Virginia	Virginia threatens to have Michael sent to jail for killing Jimmy's father.
Caitlin/Cole/Olivia/Gregory	Liam (a/k/a Jacques) attends the Richards family dinner and makes off with Olivia's Deschanel necklace.
	September 18, 1997
Paula/Ricardo/Gabi/Mark	Shaken after having been trapped in a car with Ricardo during a shootout, Gabi asks Mark to come to her room to keep her company overnight.
	September 19, 1997
Ben & Meg	Ben goes to Maria's studio and packs away all of her things.
Caitlin/Cole/Olivia/Gregory	Caitlin becomes angry with Gregory when he suggests that Cole has stolen Olivia's Deschanel necklace. Cole disappears without a trace and is later seen entering a casino in Monte Carlo.
	September 22, 1997
Ben & Meg	Ben sends an e-mail to Meg, letting her know that he still loves her.
	In Monte Carlo, Cole flirts with a woman over the roulette tables.
Caitlin/Cole/Olivia/Gregory	Caitlin looks at the photos of Cole's former lovers.
	September 23, 1997
Ben/Meg/Tim/Annie	Tim attempts to erase Ben's e-mail to Meg, but Meg interrupts him.
	Caitlin finds out that Cole's been seen in Monte Carlo with another woman. When the woman slips a hotel room key to Cole, he accepts.
Caitlin/Cole/Olivia/Gregory	Olivia's amnio tests results come in.
	September 24, 1997
Paula/Ricardo/Gabi/Mark	Paula returns to Sunset Beach and finds Ricardo and Gabi much friendlier to each other than they were when she left.
Caitlin/Cole/Olivia/Gregory	Olivia finds out that her baby is healthy but that Tyus was unable to perform the paternity test.
Vanessa/Michael/Virginia	Vanessa tries to tell Michael about Virginia's threats to turn Michael in to the police, but Virginia stops her.
	September 25, 1997
Paula/Ricardo/Gabi/Mark	Paula tells Gabi that, despite all that has happened between her and Ricardo, she still loves him.
	September 26, 1997
Ben & Meg	Ben calls Kansas and talks to Joan, who encourages Ben to keep sending e-mails to Meg.
Ben/Meg/Tim/Annie	With the help of her "Uncle Sven," Annie deletes Ben's e- mails to Meg. Vanessa tells Ben that she heard him call Meg by Maria's name.
	Cole returns to Sunset Beach and meets Caitlin on the beach.
	September 29, 1997
	Caitlin decks Cole, but when Cole hands her the necklace that Liam stole, she considers forgiving him.
Ben/Meg/Tim/Annie	While reviewing the audiotape of her session with Ben, Dr. McCrea figures out that Annie planted a posthypnotic suggestion that made Ben call Meg by Maria's name.
	September 30, 1997
Ben/Meg/Tim/Annie	When Dr. McCrae goes to Ben's house to tell him about Annie's posthypnotic suggestion, Annie drugs her and hides her in Ben's hall closet.
Caitlin/Cole/Olivia/Gregory	Caitlin tells Sean that her faith in Cole has been restored. However, Cole took more jewels than Olivia's Deschanel necklace while in Monte Carlo.
